THE ROLE
The position of a Principal Technical Consultant is responsible for providing technical support and expert advice to existing and future clients in North America throughout all implementation stages of the Temenos T24 Core Banking Software and/or other TEMENOS software products. Occasionally the Principal Technical Consultant will assume the functional role as a Lead Technical Analyst (LTA) on assigned projects.

OPPORTUNITIES
The Principal Technical Consultant is client-facing and focuses on more complex technical issues with little or no direct supervision, provides technical guidance to both the Project Manager and Client and mentors less experienced Technical Consultants. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Focus on more complex technical implementation issues, especially performance tuning.
  • Think and act with a high level of indepence in a client-facing environment.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to less experienced consultants.
  • Provide expertise to clients for additional enhancements and advice on best practices.
  • Identify, define and coordinate any development activities that may occur during the implementation of Temenos products, such as additional specific functionality, interfacing to external systems or conversion programs to be built.
  • Install custom enhancements and validate technical setup and conduct necessary testing to ensure user acceptance and coordinate with the TEMENOS Product teams.
  • Supervise, if and when needed, over specific tasks of the implementation plan.
  • Responsible for selected environments (installation of delivery packages, patches, upgrades, run COB, etc.) and the running of the T24/TCB products including database administration.
  • Provide clear and concise technical documentation for internal and external use.
  • Conduct client technical training as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the Project Manager in order to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate with the TEMENOS maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems encountered by the client are understood and resolved.
  • Complete Technical support hand-over details and obtain client readiness agreement before go live.

Skills

  • You should have minimum of five to eight years of implementation experience with the T24 Transact software.
  • You should be undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science. Business, Math or related technical field.
  • You should have in depth understanding of financial and banking processes. IT oriented: knowledge of a banking/ financial software application; excellent knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel and Word as well as other MS Office applications.
  • You should have knowledge of INFOBASIC, JAVA, ORACLE 9 (or above) operating systems, knowledge and familiarity with the functionality of UNIX, AS400 and NT, particularly disc structures. Exposure to mainframes a plus.
  • You should have knowledge of MS-SQL and Oracle DB fine tuning, J2EE Application Server (JBOSS/ WebSphere/WebLogic).
  • You should have Temenos competencies in the following:
  • Expert in the T24 Core Banking software (Release 13 or higher)
  • Process Workflows
  • Temenos Enterprise Console
  • T24 Interfaces
  • T24 General Ledger and Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • T24 Parameter set-up, installation of fixes
  • Close of business (COB) support
  • Knowledge of T24 Data migration
  • T24 Customization, T24 Architecture (TAFJ)
  • Arrangement Architecture (AA)
  • T24 performance fine tuning
  • Integration Framework, Interaction Framework and Design Studio
  • Channels
  • Knowledge of other Temenos products/services such as Wealth Suite, FCM, DLM, TPCS, Infinity, etc.
