We are looking for a
Key Account Manager
to lead the commercial strategy for our
Consumer Goods business in Ecuador
.
You will be responsible for driving growth across key customers, ensuring sustainable business performance, profitability, and flawless execution at the point of sale.
As part of the management team, you will also lead a group of account executives and collaborate closely with multifunctional partners (Marketing, Finance, Trade, and Supply Chain) to deliver superior commercial results.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial relationship and strategy with key customers in Modern Trade and Traditional channels.
- Develop and implement annual business plans to achieve sales, profit, and market share objectives.
- Manage trade negotiations, including contracts, pricing, visibility agreements, and promotional strategies.
- Lead and coach a team of account executives, ensuring capability development and high performance.
- Partner with internal functions (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Marketing) to drive executional excellence.
- Analyze business results, forecast performance, and identify growth opportunities by client and category.
- Ensure efficient budget management and profitability for assigned accounts.
- Drive new product introductions, innovation launches, and category development initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders at customer organizations to foster long-term partnerships.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience managing key accounts in the consumer goods industry.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency is an advantage.
- Able to work in a team setting and collaborate effectively.
- Open to learning opportunities and able to assist in change management initiatives for new processes under guidance.
- Aware of relevant external (legal, tax) and internal (e.g., decision authority, procure-to-pay) stewardship requirements and acts accordingly.
