DEVOPS ENGINEER Department: Technology / Engineering Reports to: Head of Technology

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our technology team and support the development, deployment, automation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and technology environments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in dynamic environments, solving technical challenges, automating processes, and identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize AWS and cloud infrastructure to support applications, services, data, and AI-driven solutions.
• Configure, manage, and optimize AWS services and cloud environments, ensuring scalability, availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and reduce manual work.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or equivalent technologies.
• Manage and maintain development, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, reliability, and resource utilization across cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, application, and production issues.
• Support development teams throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering, Data, AI, and Business Intelligence teams to improve application deployment and infrastructure scalability.
• Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines.
• Manage access controls, credentials, secrets, certificates, and other infrastructure security requirements.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and services that can improve infrastructure and development processes.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, AI, automation, and software infrastructure. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or a similar role.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, with hands-on experience in AWS highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and system observability.
• Understanding of networking concepts, APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and cloud environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and cloud security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work effectively in production environments.
• English proficiency: B2 or higher. AI / TECHNOLOGY SKILLS Candidates with experience or demonstrated interest in the following areas will be highly valued:
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning environments.
• AI APIs and third-party AI platforms.
• Python and AI-related development environments.
• Cloud-based AI services.
• Automation using AI tools.
• Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• API integrations.
• Data pipelines and data processing environments.
• MLOps or AI infrastructure.
• Deployment and monitoring of AI applications.
• Knowledge of tools and platforms such as OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, AWS AI/ML services, Azure AI, LangChain, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing applications, platforms, or internal processes. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are looking for someone who is technically curious, proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented, with a strong interest in automation and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate does not need to know every technology listed in this description. We value candidates who have a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure and DevOps, particularly AWS, and who demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn, adapt, automate, and work with new technologies such as AI. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, or specific AI platforms is considered a plus rather than a mandatory requirement.
