We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operations team at FARMASI in Ecuador.
Position Purpose
Lead the end-to-end Operations and Supply Chain function in Ecuador, ensuring product availability, efficient import and customs processes, inventory accuracy, warehouse performance, distribution excellence and cost-effective delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead imports, exports, customs clearance and international freight operations
• Manage and evaluate customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers and 3PL partners
• Ensure compliance with applicable Ecuadorian customs, foreign trade and operational requirements
• Lead warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
• Ensure effective inventory management, stock accuracy, cycle counts, rotation, discrepancies, damaged goods and obsolete/slow-moving inventory
• Manage transportation, distribution and last-mile delivery across Ecuador
• Ensure product availability and coordinate operational priorities with Commercial, Finance and other key areas
• Negotiate and manage logistics suppliers, contracts, costs and service levels
• Lead operational problem-solving, risk management and contingency plans
• Manage OTIF, Fill Rate, Inventory Accuracy, DOH, Order Cycle Time, Customs Lead Time and Logistics Cost
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, cost optimization and service-level initiatives
• Establish and maintain SOPs, controls and operational standards
• Lead and develop the local Operations/Warehouse team Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain, with previous responsibility for operational teams or functions
• Strong hands-on experience in Imports/Exports, Customs, Warehousing, Inventory, Distribution and Last Mile
• Solid knowledge of Ecuadorian customs and foreign trade processes
• Experience managing and negotiating with 3PLs, customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics providers
• Experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong KPI and cost-management orientation
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems and Excel
• English: Advanced preferred Key KPIs OTIF | Fill Rate | Inventory Accuracy | DOH | Order Cycle Time | Customs Clearance Lead Time | Logistics Cost | Delivery Performance Ideal Background FMCG, Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Wellness, Nutrition, Food & Beverage, Retail or Direct Selling. A hands-on Operations leader capable of owning the complete operational flow in Colombia: Import, Customs Clearance, Warehouse, Inventory, Dispatch, Last Mile, Customer.
