Ecuador Galileo Financial Technologies

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend to join our Delivery team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and Participate the development and testing of our systems and services
  • Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
  • Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment
  • Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Advanced Level of English (Mandatory)
  • 5 years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack
  • Our core stack is Java/ Kotlin/ Spring / PostgreSQL/ React, and we run on Kubernetes in a service oriented architecture with over 100 services in production
  • 3 years Java or Kotlin programming experience
  • A solid understanding of relational databases and ORMs
  • Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
  • Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
  • Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
  • View Unit and Integration test as 1st class citizen in software development
  • Desire to grow, learn and collaborate with a team of engineers.

Nice to have

  • Full-stack experience, either toward systems (kafka, temporal, docker, posix), databases (postgres), or front-end (javascript/typescript, react).
