Job Description:

We are a nationwide mortgage lender specializing in residential and commercial lending. The Producing Closing Team Lead works directly with the Closing Manager to manage the day-to-day functions of the Closing Department, while continuing to carry a pipeline of their own. The Team Lead will also work directly with the closing team members to assess and resolve loan level items.

Shift: 8:30am - 6:00pm PST

Pay: $72,000 - $87,000

What you'll do:

• Maintain and close your own pipeline of loans.

• Manages and administers activities of assigned segments of loan closing to ensure that procedures are properly and efficiently carried out.

• Ensures compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high quality service and outstanding customer care

• Directs and leads closing team in matters regarding operations, procedures and processes.

• Partners with other operational areas to develop new processes and procedures to facilitate efficient business growth.

• Ensures and promotes the development of the closing team through coaching, training and development.

• Facilitates training programs across functional responsibilities to facilitate staff resources as productions support needs vary.

• Identifies and provides feedback to management regarding closing processes and support technology that will provide for efficiencies and growth.

• Resolves the most complex or sensitive issues and provides guidance and mentorship to junior level staff.

• Provides research and resolution services to members of management.

• May assist in development and overseeing the preparation, analysis and delivery of reports for management, sales staff and direct report staff.

• May assist in the development and administration of training courses for closers and operational staff as needed.

• Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback to management for inclusion in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.

• Partners with the Compliance areas to ensure that all requisite federal, state, regulatory and investor guidelines are adhered to.

• Partners with the Sales Team to ensure that all requirements are adhered to.

• Keeps current on federal and state laws, regulations and exceptions affecting assigned functions.

• Reviews, approves, and documents exception conditions or non-routine actions.

• Responsible for the daily activities of the loan closing department.

• Responsible for maintaining their daily loan closing workload which is subject to current volume

Who you are:

• Thorough knowledge of closing, including prior experience closing FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo, ARM, DPA/Bond, and HELOC/HELOAN. Experience in all listed loans is a must

• Must have 3+ years of senior level closing experience

• Must have some prior leadership experience

• Thorough knowledge of federal, investor, and bank regulations.

• Experience with Imaged based loan document storage technology.

• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, database reporting and Encompass mortgage loan system.

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to mentor, coach and motivate staff.

• Ability to implement policies and procedures.

• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
