Description:

The purpose of the position is to increase asset availability, improve operational safety and reduce maintenance costs through the application of predictive analysis and failure diagnosis techniques. The SCADA Supervisor will oversee planning and implementing maintenance programs for all the Consortium's SCADA systems, following QHSE and industry procedures.

A successful person in this position must have great analytical and planning skills, as well as have the skills to detect problems and propose solutions. Also, it is important that the person has solid knowledge in the management of SCADA Systems and experience in Maintenance and Reliability Engineering work in companies in the Oil & Gas industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the review and optimization of maintenance programs for instrumented safety, monitoring, and control systems in the field.
  • Diagnose improvements in the maintenance system, both in execution (resources, knowledge, training) and management.
  • Carry out and analyze the Maintenance and Reliability Management KPI's of critical assets and systems related to SCADA.
  • Keep monthly statistics of production loss associated with maintenance issues and failures of SCADA systems, make recommendations, and follow up on compliance.
  • Accuracy monitoring, calibration of the data acquisition system (SCADA), including RTU's, PLC's, PAC's, HMI, SIS, preparation of reports and suggestions for improvement.
  • Develop and implement condition-based maintenance programs for critical equipment, using techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis and ultrasound.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define appropriate monitoring parameters that allow early detection of failures.
  • Analyze monitoring data to identify anomalous trends and predict potential failures.
  • Design and implement data acquisition systems and sensors for continuous monitoring of conditions.
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures and recommend improvements in processes and equipment design.
  • Train technical staff in the interpretation of CBM data and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management on asset status and effectiveness of the CBM program.
    Minimum Qualification & Experience:
  • Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / related Engineer.
  • Experience of at least 5 years as a Reliability Engineer / CBM in companies in the oil industry.
  • Intermediate / Advanced English Level.
  • Residence in Ecuador.
