Job Description
This Position is responsible for the execution of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all power substations and its components for a reliable, safe and cost effective operation of all substations in the franchise area in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures to ensure uninterrupted service to customers. Monitors power equipment and associated devices condition and executes replacement and upgrades if necessary.

Job Responsibilities

• Executes daily inspections and surveys of substations to monitor condition of all equipment and components. Provides comprehensive reports of the inspections and surveys done in substations and documents all abnormalities and submits it to the Supervisor.
• Troubleshoots minor equipment problems identified. Conducts repairs of major troubles upon approval of Supervisor.
• Executes preventive and corrective maintenance of all substation equipment and the necessary works for the testing and commissioning of new substation construction.
• Oversee and document the testing of Distribution Transformers to ensure that it conforms with our approved specifications.
• Evaluates used/returned distribution transformers to determine usability prior to re-issue in the field and submits weekly and monthly reports on its servicing and testing for management decision.
• Attends to switching and normalization of substation during load transfer, lines rehabilitation and emergency situations (On-Call)
• Reporting and MOnitoring of CAPEX and OPEX of the department
• Act as an administrator to the asset registry for Substations. Ensure proper recording for new installation, replacement and changes on the registry
• Handles administrative task such processing of contractors billing, petty cash , material/tools requisition, work order issuance, leaves, overtimes and similar task.
• Reporting and monitoring of substation performance statistics such MTBR, MTTR, Tripping profiles, Availability index, etc.

Job Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer
