Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) Mobile Engineer to help build and ship a mobile application for iOS and Android using a shared Kotlin codebase.

This is a 100% mobile-focused role. You will work on:

• Mobile UI and user experience

• Mobile architecture

• Performance and stability

• Release readiness

This role does not involve backend, database, or cloud infrastructure work. All backend services already exist and will be consumed by the mobile application.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMP) codebase targeting Android and iOS.

• Develop UI and screens using Compose / Compose Multiplatform (as applicable), ensuring a high-quality mobile experience.

• Integrate the mobile app with existing backend services (API consumption, authentication flows, networking, caching, offline considerations).

• Own mobile engineering quality: clean architecture, testing strategy, performance, stability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver features iteratively and improve usability.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Strong senior-level Kotlin expertise with proven experience delivering production mobile applications.

• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM) for shared business logic across iOS and Android.

• Solid Android expertise (Gradle, build variants, release pipelines, mobile architecture).

• iOS familiarity within a KMP context (Xcode integration, iOS build/debug workflows, understanding of Swift/Objective-C interoperability at an integration level).

• Experience with mobile architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, and/or MVI.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

• English level: B2–C1 (must be able to communicate clearly with engineers and stakeholders).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Compose Multiplatform beyond Android.

• Experience with mobile CI/CD and release workflows (App Store / Play Store, signing, provisioning, build automation).

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants in daily development (team preference: Claude Code).

• Experience working in product teams where backend APIs are owned by a separate team.

What This Role Is Not

• No AWS or cloud infrastructure responsibilities.

• No database ownership or management (PostgreSQL is used, but handled elsewhere).

• No backend or API development.

• No desktop application scope.
