ACDI/VOCA is a global development organization that empowers people to make positive changes in their lives by applying our expertise in sustainable agriculture, resilience, economic opportunity, access to finance, and equity & inclusion to create meaningful, lasting impact. We are seeking multiple positions for an upcoming Climate Change Mitigation through Sustainable Land Use Activity in Ecuador funded by USAID.
The positions will be based in Ecuador and are expected to start in 2025. We are looking for candidates with expertise in sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities, agriculture and agroforestry production systems and supply chains, governance and policy, including natural resource governance, and finance mechanisms for agricultural and environmental activities.
About the Role
- Design and implement programs to promote sustainable livelihoods and advance natural climate solutions.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to reduce GHG emissions and mitigate the effects of deforestation and land degradation.
- Provide technical assistance to support the development of green economy initiatives and projects.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, minimum 7 years of experience in the relevant field, and fluency in English and Spanish. Ecuadorian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $85,000 per annum, and a comprehensive benefits package.
