Job Summary:
We are seeking a Customer Support Scientist to develop and maintain cost-effective, high-quality products for our customers. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of coating experience, a B.S. in Chemistry or equivalent, and strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop/Optimize recipes for products following APQP process, including preparation of a lab sample and sufficient testing to demonstrate fulfillment of customer specifications.
- Create recipes that meet customer requirements while using low-cost materials.
- Analyze how recipe cost impacts the profitability of our company.
- Work with operation team and other functions to ensure new/modified product alignment into production.
- Collaborate with application team to develop application line simulation parameters for successful product introductions.
- Communicate with account teams to ensure all project team members are up-to-date on technical progress.
- Identify suitable rework routes to support non-productive inventory reduction with product quality control.
- Keep test specifications and methods up-to-date and develop new ones as required.
- Analyze and document results, prepare technical reports, examinations, and summaries.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed properly and available for internal or external quality audits.
- Attend line trials of new product launches at customer sites.
- Lead or participate in problem-solving of customer issues using appropriate methodology.
Requirements:
- 7 years of coating experience or above.
- B.S. in Chemistry or equivalent coating research development experience.
- Project management and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer skills, including office, database, and statistics.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capability.
