RTI International is seeking professionals with senior- and mid-level expertise in clean energy, energy efficiency, and other technical areas in Ecuador.

The selected candidates will be responsible for providing technical assistance to implement projects focused on clean energy and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Clean energy: Design and implementation of renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
• Distributed renewable energy: Development and implementation of distributed renewable energy systems, including mini-grids and off-grid solutions.
• Distributed generation: Implementation of distributed generation systems, including small-scale gas turbines and internal combustion engines.
• Energy efficiency: Assessment and implementation of energy-efficient technologies, including LED lighting and building insulation.
• Electric transport: Development and implementation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Utilities: Support to utilities in developing and implementing energy-efficient practices.
• Public policy: Analysis and development of public policies supporting clean energy and energy efficiency.
• Energy legal and regulatory framework: Support to governments in developing and implementing energy-related laws and regulations.
• Private sector investment: Facilitation of private sector investment in clean energy and energy efficiency.
• Gender, youth, and social inclusion: Integration of gender, youth, and social inclusion considerations into clean energy and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Communications and Social Behavior Change Communications (SBCC): Development and implementation of communication strategies to promote clean energy and energy efficiency.
• Monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and adapting (MERLA): Monitoring and evaluation of clean energy and energy efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of experience focused on technical area of expertise.
• Native fluency or full professional proficiency in Spanish required; English fluency preferred, and proficiency in other languages of Ecuador a plus.
• Work experience in Ecuador required.

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
