Columbus Travel is a destination management company (DMC) based in Quito, focused on inbound travel and tailor-made journeys across mainland Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands, and Peru—serving international travelers primarily from the United States and Europe.
Role overview
Start the year with new challenges and real growth—join our team. We're looking for a Marketing & Content Analyst to support B2B and B2C communications through strong writing, content execution, email marketing support, basic reporting, and coordination with internal teams. This role will also coordinate specific projects with an external digital marketing agency linked to one of our DMC properties.
Key responsibilities
- Execute the monthly content calendar for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Business Profile
- Write, adapt, and proofread content in
Spanish and English
(captions, short scripts, descriptions, basic commercial copy) - Support email marketing (newsletters/campaigns): structure, copy, template-based assembly, basic segmentation, and scheduling
- Support basic website content updates and SEO drafts (headings, structure, meta descriptions) under guidelines
- Basic community management (messages/comments) and review monitoring; escalate sensitive cases
- Coordinate with design/multimedia: briefs, revisions, approvals, and delivery tracking
- Track tasks and deliverables in
Jira - Compile basic performance metrics (social/email/web if applicable) and suggest improvements
- Coordinate with an
external digital marketing agency
on specific projects (timelines, content alignment, internal follow-up)
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience
in content, social media, digital marketing, communications, or related roles - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Business, or related fields
- English is mandatory (spoken + written), B2-C1
- Strong Spanish writing and editing skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with deadlines and feedback
Nice to have
- Basic SEO and web content experience
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and reporting
- Travel/hospitality background or interest
