This position centers on creating tangible impact through production-ready software. You'll leverage AI tooling and cloud-native architectures to construct full-stack solutions addressing genuine challenges—not simply completing task lists. Expect to deploy rapidly while maintaining quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate delivery with sustainable design.

What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver Complete Full-Stack Features: Own user stories end-to-end; clarify requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend components, validate thoroughly, and deploy to production
- Identify and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause investigations, address underlying issues rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through strategic testing
- Elevate Code Standards: Assess designs and pull requests for clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at the source
What You Won't Be Doing
- Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems as ends in themselves
- Implementing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
- Spending time in protracted roadmap meetings or pursuing approvals
- Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine user problems
Software Architect Key Responsibilities
- Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships efficiently, and remains maintainable over time
Basic Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years writing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
- Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams—not merely contributing isolated tasks
- Self-sufficient execution: Capacity to unblock yourself, manage your own velocity, and navigate forward through ambiguous scenarios
- Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
