Responsabilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English Language and Literature curricula aligned with institutional standards and learning objectives.
  • Teach core language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as literary analysis across different genres and periods.
  • Foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication through discussion, writing assignments, and project-based learning.
  • Create a well-organized, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes active participation and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Develop, administer, and evaluate assessments to measure student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Integrate appropriate educational technologies and digital resources to enhance language learning and literary comprehension.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and additional academic support to students who require reinforcement or enrichment.
  • Encourage a love for reading and literature through exposure to a wide range of texts, authors, and cultural contexts.
  • Stay current with developments in English pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and academic staff to ensure alignment with broader curricular and institutional goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and address concerns professionally and constructively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English Language, English Literature, or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English Language and Literature instruction, including grammar, composition, and literary analysis.
  • 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in English Language and/or Literature.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and student-centered learning methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong academic rigor.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • Passion for teaching, continuous professional development, and staying current with educational best practices.
