Responsabilities
Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English Language and Literature curricula aligned with institutional standards and learning objectives.
Teach core language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as literary analysis across different genres and periods.
Foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication through discussion, writing assignments, and project-based learning.Create a well-organized, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes active participation and respect for diverse perspectives.
Develop, administer, and evaluate assessments to measure student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Integrate appropriate educational technologies and digital resources to enhance language learning and literary comprehension.
Provide differentiated instruction and additional academic support to students who require reinforcement or enrichment.
Encourage a love for reading and literature through exposure to a wide range of texts, authors, and cultural contexts.
Stay current with developments in English pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment practices.
Collaborate with colleagues and academic staff to ensure alignment with broader curricular and institutional goals.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and address concerns professionally and constructively.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, English Language, English Literature, or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.
Demonstrated proficiency in English Language and Literature instruction, including grammar, composition, and literary analysis.
1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in English Language and/or Literature.
Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and student-centered learning methodologies.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and strong academic rigor.
English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
Passion for teaching, continuous professional development, and staying current with educational best practices.
