At Oktana we are looking for a Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale web applications.

In this role, you'll work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, user-facing features, improve platform performance, and support AI-driven content capabilities.

You'll focus on full-stack development using modern JavaScript technologies, cloud infrastructure, and emerging AI-enabled solutions, contributing to scalable, production-grade systems used by millions of users worldwide.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using , TypeScript, and React
  • Build and integrate GraphQL APIs, ensuring clean design and efficient data access
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, engineering) to deliver impactful user-facing features
  • Work with Contentful and other CMS solutions to power global content experiences
  • Deploy and manage services on AWS, supporting reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows using GitLab
  • Support and evolve AI-enabled features, including content enrichment and retrieval-based use cases
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following best practices and team standards
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to ensure high code quality

You have:

  • Strong experience with and TypeScript
  • Solid knowledge of React and modern frontend development
  • Experience working with Contentful or similar CMS platforms
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL (API design and integration)
  • Proficiency with GitLab for version control and CI/CD
  • Experience using AWS for cloud services and resource management
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
  • Proven experience building scalable, production-grade applications
  • A strong collaboration mindset and commitment to code quality and best practices

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Java
  • Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools (strong plus, not required)
  • Knowledge of AI concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Experience with vector databases
  • Exposure to testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress
  • Experience with Spark / Scala, NLP, or Information Retrieval systems
