Job Title: Finance Analyst

Contractor Fee: $1,800-$2,300/month

Work Arrangement: Remote

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor

Commitment: Full-time (Approx. 40 hours/week)

About This Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our client's team. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial modeling skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to create insightful reports that guide decision-making. You will work closely with founders and executives of fast-growing businesses, while also contributing to thought leadership and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain 3-statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  • Develop and refine cash flow forecasts to help clients manage liquidity.

  • Conduct unit economics analysis to assess profitability and viability.

  • Prepare clear, concise financial reports and insights for client presentations.

  • Construct advanced models for public CPG and eCommerce businesses.

  • Collaborate directly with founders/CEOs of startups ($2M to $20M in revenue).

  • Contribute to content creation (social media, emails, whitepapers, reports) using financial analysis.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and models.

  • Support BI integration projects (e.g., connecting models to Looker Studio or similar tools).

    • Software/Platforms/Tools:

  • Google Sheets (Advanced Financial Modeling)

  • BI Tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar)

  • Google Suite

  • Project Management Platforms (Asana, Trello, or )

  • AI Tools

  • Airtable

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Ideal candidate has years of professional experience, with at least 2 - 3 of these being in the CPG or eCommerce industries.

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Experience with 3-statement modeling, cash flow forecasting, and unit economics analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (C1 or C2 level)

  • Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear and concise reports.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Experience with BI or Looker Studio is a plus (one of your projects will be to connect all our financial models to one of these tools).

    • Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US EST, with flexibility for a 2 to 3 hour overlap if required.
