Joya de Nicaragua, S.A., established in 1968, is the first Nicaraguan cigar factory, located in Esteli, 150km north of Managua. For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to the traditional art of handcrafting cigars, using robust Nicaraguan tobaccos. The hallmark of our company is our commitment to preserving traditional cigar-making techniques. Today, our cigars are exported to more than 45 different countries worldwide.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Prompt Engineer, located in Guayaquil. The Prompt Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining conversational AI models and systems. Additionally, the role includes conducting research, coding, implementing AI algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance AI capabilities. Regular monitoring and troubleshooting of AI systems will also be a key part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with AI and machine learning algorithms
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and R
  • Knowledge of AI frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Guayaquil
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in the cigar or tobacco industry is a plus
