Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a
Junior Web Developer
located in Quito. The Junior Web Developer will support the development, maintenance, and optimization of websites and web applications for U.S.-based clients. Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting issues, implementing UI/UX improvements, and collaborating with senior developers and project managers to meet client expectations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering high-quality digital solutions.

Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency in
    HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    , and responsive design
  • Experience with
    WordPress development and management
    , including themes, plugins, updates, and website optimization
  • Understanding of version control systems such as
    Git
  • Ability to debug and resolve technical issues
  • Strong eye for design, layout, and user experience
  • Experience with at least one frontend or backend framework (e.g., React, Vue, , Laravel, Django) is a plus
  • Familiarity with website performance, SEO best practices, and security concepts
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to client requirements
  • Previous experience in web development (internships or freelance projects welcome)
  • Degree or certification in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field preferred
