A Field Service Engineer would be working 80% of time in Wartsila engines overhauls in field and 20% in workshop or administrative tasks.
Job Objective:
Provide specialized technical support in the execution of maintenance, repair, and evaluation services for Wärtsilä engines, both in the field and in the workshop, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational efficiency standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Assistance in field and workshop services.
Measurement and evaluation of components.
Prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations.
Perform mechanical cleaning tasks and part preparation.
Operate machining equipment for rectification and adjustment of components.
Lifting and assembly operations of components.
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and internal procedures.
Maintain quality at all stages of the service.
Required Competencies and Skills:
Technical knowledge of internal combustion engines (preferably Wärtsilä).
Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments and machining equipment.
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Teamwork skills and effective communication.
Focus on safety and quality.
Availability to travel and stay in remote locations for extended periods, up to 30 days.
English B1 at least, and must be able to hold a fluid conversation.
