About the Role
This position is responsible for leading the Vendor Business Management (VBM) function, focusing on driving business growth and customer recruitment within the company's storage portfolio, while maintaining momentum in client and server growth.
The role will work to strengthen internal synergies among stakeholders, including purchasing and procurement, vendor and product marketing, technical sales teams, and other specialized sales resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead vendor management and strategic business planning. (30%)
- Engage in customer meetings and partner recruitment to drive business growth. (20%)
- Manage and develop the VBM team, ensuring effective performance and continuous development. (20%)
- Own P&L responsibilities, ensuring the achievement of associated goals—forecasting and managing revenue, margin, operational efficiencies (including SG&A reductions), rebate attainment, ROCE contribution, and KPI achievement related to inventory metrics across the entire portfolio. (20%)
- Oversee inventory management and risk management processes (e.g., depreciation, end of life). (10%)

Requirements
Experience
- 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on vendor management and business development.
- 3 to 5 years of experience directly managing/supervising employees, ideally within a VBM or related leadership role.
Education & Certifications
•Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Working Conditions
•Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
•May be located at the Clearwater corporate office or at the reseller location.
•Professional, office environment.
•Frequent Travel Required (50%).
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed.
- Proficient with 10-key data entry.
- Strong skills in performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey necessary information clearly and effectively.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Capable of creating and delivering formal presentations.
- Effective interaction with all levels of management and stakeholders.
- Skilled in negotiation, persuasive communication, and closing business transactions with mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in multi-cultural environments.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to idea generation, team motivation, and problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
