This is a full-time, on-site role for a Customer Technical Support Engineer (Food & Beverage) based in the Guayaquil Metropolitan Area.
In this position, you will be the technical point of contact for our B2B customers (juice, beverage and food manufacturers), providing support on product specifications, quality topics and new developments.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Providing technical assistance to our customers on product specifications, applications and quality-related issues.
Handling and following up technical inquiries, customer complaints and non-conformities, in close coordination with our Quality and Production teams.
Preparing and updating technical documentation (spec sheets, certificates, reports) in Spanish and English.
Supporting customer audits, visits and technical meetings, many of them in English.
Collaborating with internal teams (Quality, Production, Logistics, Sales) to ensure clear, timely and accurate responses to customers.
Contributing to continuous improvement of our customer support processes and technical communication.
Qualifications
Must-have
Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Biotechnology or a closely related field.
Previous experience (2+ years) in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D or Technical roles in the food & beverage industry.
Advanced English (spoken and written): able to join technical calls, write emails and explain quality topics to international customers.
Strong skills in technical support and problem-solving, with the ability to analyze root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
Excellent customer support and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset.
Solid analytical skills and attention to detail for reviewing data, reports and specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with documentation and data.
Nice-to-have
Experience dealing with B2B industrial customers (food, beverage, ingredients).
Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC or similar).
Experience working in multicultural or international environments.
